“We do not choose to be Vincentians, we are chosen. Vincentian work is a lifelong vocation. Our calling is defined by carrying out our four main missions: spirituality, fellowship, helping the poor and giving others a chance to help the poor.”
The purpose of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference of St. Nicholas Parish is to reach out to those
in need in the community and assist them in all possible ways – always with the spirit of love for the poor. We are dependent on the generosity of our St. Nicholas family for our funding. We are all called to help.
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering support to those who are in need and suffering. Vincentians are united in an international society of charity by their spirit of poverty, humility and sharing, which is nourished through prayer and reflection, and mutually supportive gatherings. Organized locally, Vincentians witness God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice. They collaborate with other people of good will making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.
