"This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me." In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me." For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes."
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
The sacrament of First Holy Communion is the centerpiece of the Roman Catholic faith. The holiest of occasions, it is the first time we receive the body and blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. There is nothing more important than receiving Jesus in the Holy Eucharist which represents Christ’s body, blood, soul, and divinity that are truly present in the consecrated host and wine at Mass. Along with Baptism and Confirmation, First Holy Communion is the second sacrament for our initiation into the Catholic Church.
In accordance with the guidelines of the Diocese of Orange, this is a two-year program that prepares the student to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist at the end of their second year.
