"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit."

Infants are baptized to welcome the into the Catholic faith and to free them from the original sin with which they were born. Baptism is the first sacrament received in the Catholic faith, followed by Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, Anointing of the sick, Marriage and Holy Order. The five universal symbols of baptism are the cross, a white gaments, oil, water and light. Other symbols witnessed at the baptism are the baptismal font, spiritual readings and prayers and the godparents.
Baptisms are celebrated on the last Saturday of the month at 12:30 p.m.

Godparents must be Baptized, received 1st Communion, Confirmed and be at least 16, and if married, married in the Catholic Church.
Arrangements must be made at least a month in advance. Parents and Godparents must attend preparation sessions.
